Educational Psychology

The Educational Psychology program is from the Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education.

This degree trains individuals to:

  • design experiments,
  • analyze and interpret data, and
  • evaluate programs in the field of education and mental health.

It also prepares students to find employment in a variety of applied settings.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Completion of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Academic Preparation: Successful completion of prerequisite coursework in calculus, linear algebra, and introductory statistics. Additional coursework in probability or mathematical statistics is recommended.
  • GPA Requirement: A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • English Language Proficiency: For international applicants, proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL or IELTS scores) is required unless waived by the university.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Typically, two to three letters from academic or professional references who can speak to your qualifications and potential for graduate study.
  • Statement of Purpose: A written statement outlining your academic background, research interests, and reasons for pursuing a master’s degree in statistics.
  • Resume or CV: A current resume or curriculum vitae highlighting academic achievements, research experience, and relevant work or projects.
