What are the pre-requisistes for admission?

Applicant must have taken the GRE.
Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Complete EDPS 7010
2 semesters of calculus
2 semesters of basic statistics
International applicants must also include official TOEFL scores

 

How long does it take to complete the Educational Psychology coursework?

It usually takes students in the Educational Psychology Track approximately two years to complete the program.

 

How many faculty are associated with the Educational Psychology track?

There are currently 5 faculty members from the Department of Educational Psychology who work with Educational Psychology Track students; 2 of these faculty members maintain close advisory relationships with students in the track.

 

What kind of financial assistance is available to Educational Psychology track students?

The Department of Educational Psychology offers a few teaching assistantships. Please visit the fund request page for more information.

What can I do with an m.stat. in Educational Psychology?

The paths taken by Educational Psychology Track graduates are varied, and include the following areas:

  • Applied statistics relating to research design
  • Applied statistics relating to statistical analysis in research and industry settings.
  • Many go on to earn a Ph.D. in various fields.
